5k Run & Walk in memory of Kevin Cook, a student athlete and graduate from Garden Grove's Pacifica High School, class of 2000. Kevin was tragically killed in 2006 due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. The race is a great way for all of us to remember and celebrate his legacy.

This year the Spirit Run will be held at our BRAND NEW LOCATION, The Orange County Great Park, in Irvine California. With weather permitting, some of the features of the park that attendees will be able to enjoy include The Great Park Balloon Ride, The Carrousel Ride, and one that everyone loves, Live Music.

Proceeds from the event benefit current high school student athletes in the CIF Southern Section Conference through individual scholarships and team grants. Although the event is intended to benefit high school students, many other features throughout the day will be held for the rest of the family as well including food stands, a raffle, and finally, the great kid's half mile race.

Next, the course details. The course is both a flat and fast course, designed for runners and walkers of all abilities. Throughout the course, two live bands will be jamming to provide participants with some extra energy throughout the race. And finally, all attendees will enjoy no cost, hassle free parking.
